“How could you!” I demanded.
“I’m really sorry baby but I just want
you to know,” He murmured.
“It was better off if you didn't tell me
anything,” I snapped in one short breath because it was getting harder for me
to breathe.
“So I can live a lie? Look, I know what I
did was and is wrong but I still love her,” He said in the gentlest way
possible.
“Then why were you still with me when
she returned? Just to hurt me even more? How can you do this to me! I trusted
you..." I snapped again. I could barely breathe.
“I love you,” He whispered, holding my
arm.
“BULLSHIT!” I couldn't help but scream
and smack his hand away with so much force that I could have sworn I sprained
my wrist.
“Please listen to me... She was my first…
I couldn't forget her and now that she’s back, telling me stories of what had
happened to her... I couldn't help but sympathize. She’s in so much pain… I couldn't
just leave her like that,” he explained.
“And you think I'm not in pain?” I tried
to say with a stern voice but it just gave way.
“No, I didn't say that Jay, please don’t
twist my words around,” Matt said with a sympathetic tone.
“So I'm the one who’s twisting now. You
know what; I don't know what I'm doing still talking to you. It was nice while
it lasted,” I muttered under my breath while half walking half sprinting
towards the door.
“No please Jay. I love you... I need
you…” I could barely hear him, but I still did.
